➔ Cooper Black in Vietnam
While traveling through Vietnam this summer (45 degrees, by the way), I was struck by its omnipresence in both urban and rural landscapes. Yes, you read that right. It’s EVERYWHERE, like a virus: from shop signs to flyers, product packaging, instruction manuals, and even bus wraps! The widespread use of Cooper Black in Vietnam gives it a paradoxical quality, combining chaos in a country undergoing rapid transformation while creating a sense of unity across the nation, almost like a national font, similar to L1 or DIN. Through these 50 photos, I invite the reader to explore how Cooper has taken over Vietnamese public spaces and how this universal typeface has become a local marker.
